About Boyd's Rental Tools

Boyd's Rental Tools carries a full line of wireline rental equipment including grease injector units, pipe recovery lubricators, air compressors, high pressure risers, wireline B.O.P's and flanges. The business began May 9, 1978. In 1979, the location in Lake Charles was built. From 1980-1984 the inventory expanded to include mills, boot baskets, pipe recovery tools/lubricators. In 1984 came the expansion to New Iberia. Additional components have since been added to inventory to include grease injector units, air compressors, high pressure risers, wireline B.O.P.'s and flanges.

In 1985 Harper Boyd, the founder, designed the Side Entry Sub which was patented in 1987. Subsequently Mr. Boyd designed the Safety Riser on which he also received a patent. Boyd's Mechanical Locking Swivel was patented in 1999. The above mentioned product developments have expanded Boyd's capabilities in providing tools that specifically address our customers every changing needs.

Boyd's is in the process of becoming ISO 9002 certified.
